The Baja California Wine Country is blessed wiht a Mediterranean climate, ideal for grape growing. There are few microclimates in Mexico that combine the unique characteristics og elevation, soil, seasons, and temperature. And, of course, love for the art of winemaking.
The Kiliwa and Kumiai native people originally settled this region of Baja California. The first outsiders were Spanish missionaries and settlers from other parts of Mexico, followed by inmmigrants from Russia and the rest of Europe. These diverse influences helped developed a unique character to the Baja California Wine Country.
